“My Place In This World” is an immersive program created to celebrate diversity, the rich culture, and history of Africa. An activity that my grade 4 students particularly enjoyed was working on the Super Hero Comic Book. In small groups they brainstormed and created a black male or female super hero whose secret power was to use a Bible quote. Each group created a unique comic strip of just a few slides. I observed the interest and creative process of thinking about a storyline that would coincide with a particular Bible quote. My students had a blast. We are excited to try out more activities throughout the year!
